Since 1984 we are playing Cricket as the Zug Cricket Club. Our members come from a wide region in Switzerland, canton Aargau, canton Zurich, and Zug. We practice in Obfelden at the Zendenfrei Sportsground. This Ground has been our Homefield in the 90s. From Season 2022 onwards we have managed to find a Sportsground in the local community of Hedingen.

A lot of our Members are from Sri Lanka, India and Switzerland, but we are hoping to find more Sportspeople from all over the world, including Women and Juniors. English is the main language spoken in the Swiss Cricket scene.

If you are interested or have any questions regarding this Sport please fill the form on the membership page or send us an email.

Why is the Club named this way? The Founder, Fred Franks, arrived from England and first lived in Zug, where he got to know a lot of English people. He took the occasion to publish an ad in the local newspaper, and that's how he found his first Team Members.

The Zug Cricket Club has around 30 active and passive Members, they meet up in League matches as well as in Friendly Games and in the Twenty20 Tournament. For even more action the Clubs are competing in T10 Matches, sometimes 3 Matches a day.

ZUG. C.C's main purpose and goal is to meet other teams and enjoy the game respecting the spirit of the game and promoting Cricket in Switzerland.
